Council Regulation (EC) No. 770/2004 amending Regulation (EC) No. 2791/1999 laying down certain control measures applicable in the area covered by the Convention on future multilateral cooperation in the north-east Atlantic fisheries.

This Regulation lays down particular amendments and addenda to Regulation (EC) No. 2791/1999, which establishes control measures applicable in the area covered by the Convention on future multilateral cooperation in the north-east Atlantic fisheries. Article 2 to that Regulation is supplemented by inserting the definition of “fishing vessel”, “transhipment operation” and “joint fishing operation”. In article 4, paragraph 1 is replaced by the following: “Only Community fishing vessels which have been issued a special fishing permit by their flag Member State shall be authorised, on the conditions set out in the permit, to fish, keep on board, engage in transhipment or joint fishing operations and land fishery resources from the Regulatory Area.” According to article 24, as replaced by the text laid down in article 1(6) hereto, a master of a Community fishing vessel shall not engage in transhipment or joint fishing operations with non-Contracting Party vessels. The Annex, listing out the regulated resources, is replaced by the Annex attached hereto.
