Abstract
In the light of the new control measures for certain stocks of highly migratory species recommended by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), the present Regulation lays down particular addenda to Regulation (EC) No. 1936/2001. The following provisions shall be inserted: Article 4a on activities of vessels participating in operations relating to bluefin tuna fattening; Article 4b on activities of bluefin tuna fattening farms; Article 4c on the Register of bluefin tuna fattening farms; Article 6a on information on catches of white and blue marlin; Article 8a on the Register of vessels authorised to fish in the Convention area; Article 8b concerning the chartering of Community fishing vessels; Article 8c in matter of transhipment; Article 9a concerning the annual statement on the application of the ICCAT management standards by large longliners; Articles 19a, 19b and 19c on action to combat IUU fishing. Chapter II, which deals with control and surveillance measures applicable in zone 2, shall be replaced. Lastly, the texts laid down in Annexes I and II hereto shall be inserted as Annexes Ia, IV and V respectively.
