Abstract
The present Regulation supplements Regulation (EU) No. 43/2014 by inserting new provisions concerning the protection of oceanic whitetip sharks and silky sharks. According to these new provisions retaining on board, transhipping, storing or landing any part or whole carcass of oceanic whitetip sharks and silky sharks in the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission Convention Area shall be prohibited.
