Directive 2006/121/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Council Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in order to adapt it to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and establishing a European Chemicals Agency.

This Directive lays down certain amendments to Directive 67/548/EEC so as to adapt it to the provisions laid down under Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, which concerns the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). It replaces article 3 regarding testing and assessment of the properties of substances. This new provision establishes that tests on dangerous substances must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of article 13 of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.
