Abstract
This Directive lays down rules to enhance the enforcement of Union law and policies in specific areas by setting common minimum standards providing for a high level of protection of persons reporting breaches of Union law. The common minimum standards include breaches falling within the scope of the Union acts set out in the Annex that concern the areas listed in Article 2, including protection of the environment; food and feed safety, animal health and welfare; public health; and consumer protection.
