By virtue of this Protocol, the European Union and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau set out the fishing opportunities pursuant to articles 5 and 6 of their Fisheries Partnership Agreement. The Protocol also specifies related financial contribution. The Annex lays down conditions governing fishing activities by European Union vessels in the Guinea-Bissau fishing zone.
