Protocol on the implementation of the sustainable fisheries partnership agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Senegal.

This Protocol specifies the fishing opportunities that are granted to European Union fishing vessels according to the Agreement on a sustainable fisheries partnership between the European Union and the Republic of Senegal. These fishing opportunities cover both highly migratory species and deep-sea demersal species. The financial contribution to be paid by the European Union is established as well. The Annex to the Protocol sets out the conditions governing fishing activities by European Union vessels in the Senegalese fishing zone. These conditions include biological rest periods, fishing authorizations and licences and related fees, catch reporting arrangements, transshipment and landing, the use of the satellite-based vessel monitoring system (VMS), observers on board.
