Protocol setting out the fishing opportunities and financial contribution provided for in the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe.

This Protocol sets out the fishing opportunities for European Union tuna seiners and surface longliners, pursuant to article 5 of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe and the European Community. Moreover, the Protocol establishes related financial contribution and lays down provisions promoting responsible and sustainable fishing in Sao Tomean waters. The Annex specifies conditions governing fishing activities by European Union vessels in Sao Tome and Principe's fishing zone. These conditions include: issue of fishing authorizations; monitoring and surveillance; infringements.
