Abstract
The present Regulation lays down some amendments and addenda to Regulation (EC) No. 812/2014, which sets forth measures concerning incidental catches of cetaceans in fisheries. The amendments regard the use of acoustic deterrent devices and related technical specifications. Furthermore it is hereby established that by 31 December 2015 the European Commission shall review the effectiveness of the measures provided for in this Regulation and shall, if appropriate, submit to the European Parliament and to the Council an overarching legislative proposal for ensuring the effective protection of cetaceans.
