Voluntary Partnership Agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Ghana on forest law enforcement, governance and trade in timber products into the Community.

The objective of this Agreement is to provide a legal framework aimed at ensuring that all imports into the European Community from Ghana of timber products covered by this Agreement have been legally produced and in doing so to promote trade in timber products. The Contracting Parties also aim at ensuring the sustainable management of all types of forests. To this end, the Agreement sets out a Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade licensing scheme.
