Voluntary Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Indonesia on forest law enforcement, governance and trade in timber products into the European Union.

By virtue of this Agreement, the Contracting Parties provide a legal framework aimed at ensuring that all imports into the European Union from Indonesia of timber products have been legally produced and in doing so to promote trade in timber products. A Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade licensing scheme is established. The Agreement also provides a basis for dialogue and cooperation between the Parties in order to facilitate and promote the full implementation of these provisions and enhance forest law enforcement and governance.
