Act to amend the Water Act (No. 1278 of 1996).

The amendments to the principal Act introduced by the present Act concern: drainage (Chap. 6); regulation of water level (Chap. 7), waste water and other polluting substances (Chap. 10); and the miscellaneous provisions in Chapter 12. The new section 31(a) of Chapter 6 and the amendments of section 8 of Chapter 7 concern pledges which shall cover the participation by beneficiaries in the costs of drainage plans respectively water regulation measures by companies established in accordance with provisions of the chapters mentioned. Section 16 of Chapter 10 concerns common waste water discharge works.
