Act to amend the Water Act (No. 739 of 1994).

The amendments introduced by the present Act concern principally compensations for damages to the environment caused by measures which are contrary to provisions of the principal Act. Provisions of the Damage Assessment Act shall apply in respect of such damage (sect. 1 of Chapter 11). Special provision is made in section 1 for damage to groundwater resources. Provisions of Chapter 14 prescribe rules relative to procedures of actions relative to damages to the environment brought before the Water Court.
