Act on import control of animals and certain goods (No. 1277 of 2019).

The present Act contains provisions implementing the Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products, in respect of Article 1.2 a-f and j, particularly when animals and goods referred to in the Regulation are brought into the European Union. It also applies to official controls carried out to verify compliance with the national entry requirements in respect of the same areas. The Act contains 21 sections divided into the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Competent authorities and their duties; 3. Official controls; 4. Coercive measures and penalties; 5. Special provisions.
