Act on the legal status of foreigners harvesting natural products (No. 487 of 2021).

The purpose of this Act is to improve the legal status and income opportunities for foreigners harvesting natural products, as well as to create more uniform conditions for business activities in the field of natural product harvesting. It contains provisions on the legal status of foreigners harvesting natural products and the rights and obligations that harvesters and actors within the natural product harvesting industry have towards each other. An actor in the natural product harvesting industry refers to the person who, when applying for a visa, invites the harvester to the country, as well as the person who has not invited the harvester to the country but who, either personally or on behalf of someone else, arranges accommodation, tools and equipment for harvesting, or vehicles with the main purpose of purchasing the natural products harvested by the harvester. The Act contains specific rules on harvester's rights, duties of actors within the natural product harvesting industry, duties of relevant authorities, supervision, offences and penalties, among others.
