This Act seek to promote the use of biofuel in heating, in working machines, and in permanently installed motors. Biofuel is defined in section 19 (2) of the Act on excise duty on liquid fuels. The Act does not apply to a distributor who delivers a maximum of one million litres of light fuel oil for consumption during a calendar year. The general administration, monitoring and development of activities to be carried out under this Act are part of the tasks of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy.
