Act on state export guarantees (No. 422 of 2001).

The present Act determines the conditions and principles to be applied to the state's export credit guarantee operations. Export credit guarantees are granted for the risk of loss that may arise in connection with exports or investments abroad or domestic investments aimed at promoting exports. They may also be granted for the risk of loss that may arise in connection with the refinancing of a credit granted for export or a domestic investment. The purpose of export credit guarantee operations is to strengthen economic development in Finland by promoting exports and the internationalization of businesses.
