Abstract
This Act established a pre-emptive right for the purchase of real property, if the acquisition of the property is necessary for arranging the country's defence or border guard, for securing border security or for monitoring and safeguarding territorial integrity. This Act defines the right with respect to specific geographical areas and sets out conditions and procedures of the exercise of pre-emptive right of purchase. The decision on the exercise of pre-emptive rights shall be made and it shall be notified to the Land Survey of Finland within three months from the confirmation of the transfer or the purchase has been concluded in the electronic trading system referred to in Chapter 9a the Land Code (540/1995
