Abstract
This Decree implements provisions of the Chemicals Act relative to notification of a new substance to be placed on the market, assessment of risk posed by a new substance to health and the environment, testing, classification and packing and labeling of dangerous chemicals as defined by the Act and the duty to provide information and the Chemicals Register established under section 58 of the Act. Article 1 defines materials to which the Decree does not apply. The list includes, inter alia, foodstuffs, wastes and animal feed. Article 3 divides dangerous chemicals in various categories. Article 20 introduces the following sub-registers in the chemicals Register: the product register, the register of new substances, the chemicals preservatives register and the permit register. The Ministry of social Affairs and Health may issue more detailed rules on the implementation of the Decree (art. 24). (26 articles)
