Abstract
The present Decree establishes requirements for the import of animals, breeding material from them, products of animal origin, and goods that pose a risk of spreading animal diseases to Finland from countries other than member states or for their transit through Finland. These include: 1) Alternative methods for administering tapeworm medication to dogs being transported as pets; 2) Requirements for the movement of pets in exceptional cases where not all EU movement conditions are met; 3) Certain national import requirements to be applied in the absence of EU import requirements; and 4) Import protection measures to be applied due to changes in the animal disease situation.
