Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on certain live animals, embryos and germ cells imported from countries outside the European Community (No. 866 of 2008).

This Decree places restrictions on the importation of live animals, embryos and germ cells imported from countries outside the European Community for purposes of preventing the spreading of certain diseases affecting animals. The Decree applies to importation directly from third countries or importation from third countries through another EU member state. The Decree lists in article 3 Community and national legislation that shall also apply to the importation to which this Decree applies. The Decree specifies general conditions for the importation of live animals and conditions and restrictions that shall to specific kind of animals including fish, molluscs and crustaceans. The Decree also places restrictions on the importation of certain hormonal and thyreostatic substances and beta-agonists.
