Abstract
The purpose of the present Decree is to guarantee the availability and maintenance of high-quality plant material suitable for the Finnish climate. It applies to the organization of production and quality assurance of certified plant material of perennial ornamental plants and plants for versatile use. The Decree contains specific provisions on general quality assurance of production; approval of producers of plants for basic material and for elite material; approval of producers of mother plants for tested utility plants; approval of a mother plant for basic material; monitoring and approval of production; requirements for imported mother plants; etc.
