Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on the control of animal diseases in fish, crustaceans, and molluscs (No. 1009 of 2013).

The present Decree contains provisions on the prevention and control of animal diseases in fish, crustaceans, and molluscs, and to the prevention of the spread of such animal diseases. The Decree encompasses all aspects of animal disease management in aquatic animals, from prevention and early detection to control and eradication of outbreaks. It aims to safeguard the health of aquatic populations, protect the environment, and ensure the sustainability of aquaculture and fisheries.
The Decree contains 37 Articles, organized in the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Application for a permit for aquaculture and purification activities; 3. Requirements for the transport and release of aquaculture animals and their germ cells; 4. Measures at premises in case of suspected presence of a highly contagious animal disease; 5. Measures in case of confirmed presence of a highly contagious animal disease on premises; 6. Zonal measures for the control of highly contagious animal diseases; 7. Measures to be taken when a notifiable animal disease is suspected or confirmed on a premises; 8. Zonal measures for the control of Notifiable Animal Diseases; and 9. Special provisions.
