Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, made under sections section 12 of the Act concerning animal diseases, seeks to prevent the spread of tuberculosis in farmed cervids and provides with respect to eradicating the disease and monitoring of the incidence of tuberculosis in farmed deer. It provides for testing and analysis of samples in laboratories, examination for tuberculosis in connection with meat inspection as referred to in Article 5.1 of the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No 854/2004 laying down specific rules for the organization of official controls on products of animal origin intended for human consumption, monitoring of deer farms and measures for the prevention of tuberculosis.
