Abstract
The present Decree applies to primary food production and related activities, food operations, and food premises. It supplements the requirements for food hygiene in Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council. It is a general requirement of primary food production that business operators retain records and documentation regarding primary production for at least one year, unless otherwise specified. They shall also retain the latest examination results. The Decree contains specific provisions on, among other things, notification for registration of primary production; application for approval of a food establishment; general requirements regarding primary production; quality requirements for primary production of milk, egg, honey, fishery products, and meat; general requirements, exceptions, and adaptations regarding registered food operations; etc.
The Decree contains 61 Articles organized in the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Notifications and applications; 3. Primary production; 4. Registered food businesses; 5. Approved food premises; 5. Other provisions.
