Abstract
The present Decree, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Finland, outlines the regulations governing the operation of businesses within the feed sector. It aims to ensure the safety, quality, and traceability of feedstuffs and animal feed, thereby protecting animal health and public health. The Decree contains detailed provisions on feed business operators' obligations regarding notification, self-monitoring, and record-keeping, as well as the approval of feed business operators. It also includes provisions on feed labeling and the application procedure for designating a laboratory in another European Union member state and for the use of non-approved feed additives.
