Abstract
The present Decree, of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, implements Directive 2000/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to cocoa and chocolate products intended for human consumption. It applies to the products listed in Annex 1. The Decree contains detailed provisions on permitted ingredients, the use of substitute vegetable fats, product designation and other packaging requirements, and content requirements. Annex 2 regulates permitted vegetable fats. Products that do not meet the requirements of this Decree may not be offered for sale from August 3, 2003.
