Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, made under section 13 of the Act concerning animal diseases, lays down the animal health requirements which shall apply to certain live animals, animal products and other items that cause a risk of spreading animal diseases. It shall apply to animals or goods that are supplied by other Member States of the European Union to Finland, from Finland to other Member States and from other Member States through Finland to another Member State or a country outside the European Union. The Decree sets out conditions at which live animals may be imported. Specific conditions are prescribed, among other things, for camelids, swine, rabbits and hares, minks, foxes, cats, dogs and bees. The Decree also sets out import and export conditions for by-products of animal origin (as defined by Directive 1069/2009) and to imports and exports within the internal market of microbes, parasites and test batches.
