Government Decree on the Amendment of the Decree on Plant Breeders' Rights (No. 844 of 2007).

The present Decree amends the Decree No. 907/1992 concerning plant breeders' rights. It revises requirements for registration applications, specifying that applicants or their representatives must provide detailed personal and contact information, and that documents can be submitted in Finnish, Swedish, or English. The decree also reorganizes the Plant Variety Board, outlining its composition, decision-making rules, and the role of external experts. It authorizes the use of results from international testing organizations related to the protection of new plant varieties. The regulation entered into force on September 24, 2007.
