Government Decree on detection through microbiological methods of drug residues during meat inspections (No. 21/VLA/2001).

The present Decree lays down provisions on detection through microbiological methods of drug residues during meat inspections and sampling for the same purposes. It concerns inspection of meat from cattle, ungulates, pigs, sheep and goats. It also applies to meat from reindeer and other mammals in relevant parts.
If drug residues are suspected, the meat must be examined for their presence. Such an examination must also always be performed in connection with bacteriological examinations. Annex 1 describes the method to be applied for detecting concentrations of drug residues during meat inspections.
