Government Decree on food hygiene in the primary production of food (No. 1368 of 2011).

The present Government Decree applies to the primary production of foodstuffs and related activities. It does not apply to primary production of plants and fungi. The decree contains rules on technical and functional requirements for primary production sites, requirements for primary products and their handling, quality requirements for water used in primary production, self-monitoring and keeping of records of primary producers, information to be provided on primary products delivered from a primary production site, transport of primary products from a primary production site, and killing at the primary production site.
Annex 1 lays down requirements for water used for irrigation, cooling and cleaning. Annex 2 lays down industry-specific requirements for primary production of wild game, fisheries and aquaculture, milk production, and egg production, as well as for the slaughtering of animals. Annex 3 lays down requirements for the transfer or delivery of primary products in accordance with Sections 2 and 3 of the Government Decree on certain activities that are associated with a low risk to food safety (No. 1258 of 2011).
