Government Decree on medicated feed (10/VLA/2008).

The objective of the present Government Decree is to ensure the quality, safety and traceability of medicated feed placed on the market as well as expert information on medicated feed. It lays down requirements for the manufacture of medicated feed, record keeping of production and transfer of medicated feed, organization of businesses, and import of medicated feed. Section 5 lays down requirements for the approval of feed business operators that manufacture medicated feed, including the obligation to have a HACCP system in place.
The Decree lays down detailed provisions on the application for approval; the manufacture of medicated feed; the manufacturers' obligations; record keeping obligations; storage, packaging and transport of medicated feed; supply of medicated feed; trade of medicated feed in the EU internal market; etc.
