Government Decree on Nature Conservation Areas in the Region of Proper Finland (No. 537 of 1991).

The present Government Decree designates the areas specified in Section 2 as other nature conservation areas under the Nature Conservation Act (1096/1996). The purpose is to preserve the representative groves and deciduous forests, old-growth forests, marshes, bird-rich waters, as well as the organisms of archipelago and mountain nature in the landscape of Proper Finland in their natural state, and to secure or restore the undisturbed development of their ecosystems, to preserve traditional landscapes, and for outdoor activities, education, and research.
