Abstract
The present Government Decree complements the Environmental Protection Act (527/2014) with the aim of implementing several EU statutes, including Directive 2002/49/EC, Directive 2007/2/EC, Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2021/1226, and Commission Directive (EU) 2020/367. The Decree applies to the preparation of noise assessments and action plans for noise control as specified in Section 151 of the Environmental Protection Act for the areas defined in that section. It aims to prevent or minimize harmful noise effects on human health and well-being. The Decree contains detailed provisions on the content of noise assessments; noise metrics in noise assessments; calculation methods in noise assessments and spatial data; assessments of the noise situation and the number of exposed individuals in noise assessments; assessments of health effects in noise assessments; the content of action plans for noise control; the schedule for preparing noise assessments and action plans for noise control; and provision of information and submission of information to the Commission.
