Abstract
This Government Decree applies to motor gasoline and diesel oil released onto the market in Finland for use in motor vehicles, as well as diesel oil and other liquid fuels used in mobile machinery, agricultural and forestry tractors, inland waterway vessels, and recreational boats. The Decree prohibits the sale of leaded gasoline. Unleaded gasoline released onto the market shall meet the quality requirements specified in Table I of the Annex, whereas diesel oil shall meet the quality requirements specified in Table II of the Annex. The Decree also contains detailed provisions on requirements for the sulfur content in other liquid fuels; metal additives; labelling of distribution points providing fuels and information for consumers; methods of determination, quality monitoring systems for fuels, and sampling; etc.
