Abstract
This Regulation concerns the inspection of reindeer meat intended for human consumption. Regulations 898/88 and 211/60 apply to processing of inspected reindeer meat (sect. 1). Inspection shall take place in approved reindeer slaughterhouses (sect. 4). Section 5 makes provision for the approval of construction plans and equipment of slaughter premises by the District authorities. Inspection shall take place by the competent veterinarian (sect. 7). The remaining provisions of this Regulation deal with fees for inspection (sect. 8), assistance to be provided to the veterinarian (sect. 9), tasks of the veterinarian (sect. 11), marking of approved meat (sect. 12), and approval of import and export facilities (sect. 15).
