Fiji NDC Implementation Roadmap 2017-2030.

The NDC Implementation Roadmap aims at providing a temporal pathway with concrete mitigation actions and investments required to achieve the mitigation target in the NDC. The Roadmap sets out mitigation actions specific to the energy sector which are divided between the three sub-sectors of electricity generation and transmission, demand-side energy efficiency, and transportation. The implementation of the identified mitigation actions under the Roadmap is divided into short-term (2017-2020), medium-term (2021-2025), and long-term (2026-2030) action periods. The Roadmap addresses electricity generation based on renewable energy resources and biomass; energy efficiency; transformational change in the transport sub-sector, such as using biodiesel; strengthened monitoring, reporting and verification system; and expanded financial instruments and support.
