Land Sales (Budget Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 15 of 2023).

This Act amends 7A(6)(a) of the Principle Act regarding the extension of the period for the construction of acquired State or freehold land within town borders by non-residents for residential purposes from 24 months to 5 years from the date of the sale, transfer or lease. This Act compels any non-resident liable to a penalty under section 7A of the Principal Act before the commencement of this Act to pay the appropriate penalty.
