Abstract
This Decree concerns the power of the Mahogany Industry Council to issue licences for purchasing plantation-grown mahogany logs from the Fiji Hardwoord Corporation Limited. Such licence may contain conditions which the Council may, at its discretion, determine. The Decree also provides that only timber harvested under the direction of the Corporation and produced by a licensee in conformity with the Fiji Mahogany Brand Protocol, as set out in Schedule 2 to this Decree, may be branded with the Fiji Mahogany Brand and provides rules for such branding of timber. Schedule 4 contains the Fiji Plantation-grown Mahogany harvesting Code of Practice.
