Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Pohnpei State Code - Plant and Animal Quarantine.

This Chapter grants powers to the Administrator of the Office of Economic Affairs to issue Regulations regarding plant and animal quarantine. These Regulations require approval of the Governor. Emergency orders relating to domestic quarantine may be issued from time to time by the Governor, providing such emergency orders are not in conflict with the controls, quarantines, and Regulations issued by the Administrator. This public officer shall also, under the direction of the Governor, control and supervise quarantine. The Chapter also provides for the appointment of agricultural quarantine inspectors, for inspection of imported animals or plants and the treatment against pests and diseases of means of transport.
