Subchapter II of Chapter 4 of Title 26 of the Pohnpei State Code - Forest Management Act of 1979.

This Act provides for selected matters relating to the conservation of forest resources and the protection of forests for purposes of conservation of water resources. The stated purpose of this Act is to create and maintain an effective and comprehensive system of regulation of and assistance to the development of forest land.
Matters provides for by this Act are: appointment of the Pohnpei Forester and duties of this public officer; establishment and maintenance of forest reserves and watershed reserves; public forest nurseries for purposes of forest planting on state lands, forest reserves or watershed reserves; and public assistance to private parties in all phases of forest and tree management.
