Abstract
These Regulations implement for Scotland Community legislation on ambient air quality assessment and management and prescribing limit values for air pollutants.
These Regulations, among other things, require the attainment of air quality standards in respect of the concentration of various pollutants in ambient air and set out the measures the Scottish Ministers are required to take in order to ensure attainment of the relevant standards. Measures include: the preparation and implementation of action plans; improvement, monitoring and assessment of air quality; dissemination of information to the public; and consultation of the public.
