Abstract
This Order provides rules relative to the gathering of animals, i.e. an occasion at which animals are brought together for one or more of the following purposes: (a) a sale, show or exhibition; (b) onward consignment within Great Britain; or (c) inspection to confirm the animals possess specific breed characteristics.
The rules concern licensing of premises by a veterinary inspector, use of premises for animal gatherings, restrictions regarding time limits, a stop on activities and other restrictions following an animal gathering, characteristics of premises used for specific gatherings and exemptions on requirements, duties imposed on persons at an animal gathering and enforcement.
