Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No. 72 of 2019).

These Regulations, in accordance with the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, make amendments to the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 so as to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union. They make amendments to legislation in the field of scientific procedures carried out on animals in the UK and amend provisions relating to the licensing of such activity and the inspection of premises in the Act.
