Abstract
These Regulations give effect to the vaccination requirements set out in Commission Decision 2006/474/EC concerning measures to prevent the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza caused by influenza A virus of subtype H5N1 to birds kept in zoos and approved bodies, institutes and centres in the member States.
The Regulations require a keeper of poultry or captive birds to submit certain information to the Department Agriculture and Rural Development within specified time limits and keep records of that information. They also relate to the vaccination of zoo birds and enable the slaughter of vaccinated birds the restriction of their movement.
