Abstract
These Regulations enforce for Northern Ireland Community legislation on the classification of carcases of adult bovine animals or pigs. They provide for notifications to be made to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development by operators of slaughterhouses which slaughter such animals and provide rules relative to, among other things, automatic grading and the keeping of records.

These Regulations revoke and remake the provisions of the Pig Carcase (Grading) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994 (S.R. 1994 No. 384) and the Beef Carcase (Classification) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005.
