Abstract
These Regulations amend the Bluetongue Regulations 2008 for purposes of carrying into effect in Wales Directive 2012/5/EU amending Council Directive 2000/75/EC as regards vaccination against bluetongue. Regulation 13 is amended in relation with requirements for surveillance zones. They: to add to the circumstances in which vaccine may be obtained; add a new regulation on the decision of the Department to allow the use of vaccines; and prohibit, with the exception where regulations 19A (decision to allow the use of vaccines) or 20 (compulsory vaccination) apply, the vaccination of an animal against bluetongue, except under the authority of a licence granted by the Department.
