Abstract
In order to control salmonella, this Order makes provision for the registration of hatcheries, breeding flocks and laying flocks of birds of the species Gallus gallus, turkeys, ducks and geese, and imposes record-keeping and notification requirements. The Order also appoints the Welsh Ministers as the competent authority for purposes of Community legislation here implemented and prohibits the use of antimicrobials and of live salmonella vaccines.
