Abstract
These Regulations supersede the Eggs (Marketing Standards) Regulations. The principal changes made by these Regulations are the introduction of more detailed labelling requirements and the implementation of public health conditions in relation to the sale of shell eggs and the use of eggs in catering kitchens following specified EC legislation. These Regulations: (a) implement public health conditions; (b) designate authorities who are to enforce Community provisions; (c) give powers to specified officers; (d) gives powers to the Minister to require persons to keep records; (e) regulate marking and (f) prescribe penalties.
