European Union (Definition of Treaties Orders) (Revocation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (S.I. No. 1012 of 2018).

These Regulations are made in consequence of the repeal of the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68) (the ECA 1972 ) by section 1 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16). They revoke the Orders in Council listed in the Schedule, all of which were made under section 1(3) of the ECA 1972. Those Orders in Council provided for the treaties, international agreements or other relevant texts that they specify to be regarded as EU Treaties as defined by section 1(2) of the ECA 1972. The principal effect of treaties, international agreements or other relevant texts being regarded as an EU Treaty was that the provisions of section 2 of the ECA 1972 (which provide for the implementation of EU Treaties) applied to it.
